TOPIC / THEME Football Conditioning Exercise 6 – Switch Play Area to Area DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE (TECHNIQUE / SKILL) Physical Fitness – Football Game ORGANISATION 2 Teams 5 Oranges play 5 Yellows ( or 4v4) 5 Oranges keep possession of ball in their 20 x 20 area v 3-4 Yellows Remaining Yellows 1-2, stay in opposite 20 x 20 half When Yellows win ball back they immediately try to switch play back to waiting yellows in opposite area All yellows switch to new area to support team mates to keep ball 3-4 Oranges leave their area and press the ball to win it back to switch play, etc. KEY OBSERVATION 1. Work for 2 mins (start with short interval) 2. Rest for 2-4 mins 3. Change Area / Duration / No of Players as your observation improves 4. Change conditions 5. Have Resting teams and working teams 6.
