1960’s – club founded

1992 – 30 members

2004 – Ballymakealy lower site leased

2005 – construction began on grass track and tartan strip

2009 – charge applied to Minister for Sport

2011 – 220 members (187 to date in 2012)

In 2006 census Celbridge residents were;

• 25% are under 14 years of age and 15% aged 14 to 25 (40% u25)• 35% are married • 35% aged between 35 and 44With only 3.6% over 65 years of age.

Lots of kids, teens and young families.

220 Registered members – 75% are juveniles

20 Athletics Ireland qualified and Garda vetted coaches

• Tweenies 5 – 6 years• Little Athletics 7- 9 years• Juvenile 10 – 17 years• Junior, Senior and Master groups• Fit4life group
