Home Environment

Gene Hunt can be found at his work most of the time. He stays late, often smoking with his coworkers, doing work or sleeping in his office, going through evidence or interrogating suspects in the Lost and Found room.

His actual house is only seen once, and from the surprisingly clean state of it, it's clear he doesn't spend that much time there.

Gender and Gender behaviour

Gene Hunt is a very rough, masculine character. He's not comfortable with sharing his feelings, and makes fun of any guy who shows a sensitive side. He often gives in to violent impulses and most of the time doesn't seem to care what he looks like to other people.

His hobbies all revolve around drinking, prostitutes and boxing; women are generally just sex objects to him and have no other place in his life. Only one woman has a position at his work on par with other men in his office and what acceptance he gives her is begrudging. He often refers to women with nicknames such as “birds” and “skirts”.

Stance, Posture and Clothing

When he's not moving, Gene will stand with his legs spread apart on the ground, creating a lower centre of gravity, and often keeps his hands in his pockets.

Most of the time he wears plain work trousers, a shirt and tie and a brown camel-hair coat. Sometimes he'll switch to a dark grey suit, usually when his work calls for more formal attire.

Tone is usually angry or sarcastic, and generally at a louder volume than others. He's in charge of a lot of people and always has to be heard. He has a South London accent.

Proxemics

Doesn't get close to people, prefers his own personal space—but will move close and invade other's space as an act of aggression.
