Dedicated to total player development, we offer the most comprehensive program in the nation Soccer Training includes both technical and tactical elements essential to the game. The individual and team skills vital to success in soccer are stressed in a competitive environment. The soccer program is designed to help players perform and execute high level technique while demonstrating a keen insight into the game's nuances. Performance Training is implemented by the IMG Performance Institute (IPI). These coaches are the experts in their field. Aspects of speed, agility, quickness, strength, power, endurance and nutrition are addressed on a daily basis. IMG Academies’ Mental Conditioning focuses on continuous psychological improvement. Personal awareness, self-confidence, motivation, discipline, goal setting and team building are used as tools to increase effectiveness in pressure situations and daily play. The integration of these three components allows every student to realize their highest potential. IMG Soccer Academy: IMG Performance InstituteThe IMG Performance Institute trains you to not only endure an athletic event, but to dominate it!

The IMG Performance Institute is the pioneer in the field of athletic performance and character development. Our comprehensive training programs are designed to improve the total athlete, on and off the field, so that you can gain an advantage over the competition.

Our unique total athlete development program is founded upon six disciplines:

Physical Conditioning – Develops sport specific strength, power, movement, speed, agility, flexibility, and conditioning.

Mental Conditioning – Builds the mental skills that help athletes reach their goals and compete at their best on any given day.

Nutrition - Optimizes personal nutrition to meet high level lifestyle and sport demands. Sample topics include: optimal everyday nutrition, eating plans to meet sports-specific demands, body composition, energy balance and body weight issues, dietary supplements, hydration strategies and maintaining nutrition while traveling.

Core Thinking – Teaches athletes the skills and characteristics that develop high performance thoughts and habits in both sports and life.

Communication by game on – Improves self awareness, social interaction and overall communication in sports and life through improvisation and role playing exercises.

Athletic Regeneration – Rejuvenates the body through the use of massage and physical therapy while reducing the potential of injury through corrective exercises allowing for optimal training.

IMG Soccer Academy: Home to the US U 17 National Team

US U 17 National TeamThere are 40 players in U.S. Soccer’s Under-17 Residency Program, where the players train and go to school year round in Bradenton, Fla. The U-17s are in the beginning stages of preparation for the 2009 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Nigeria.

The IMG Soccer Academy is responsible for the development of numerous players who represent the U.S. Men’s National Team and currently play for world class clubs:
