This choice was made for three reasons.Firstly, there are many bees in the Ural.

Secondly, no other team has a bee mascot.Thirdly, the colour of this insect is identical with the club colors.

A Lion is the mascot of the fans of «Zenith», because it is strong and brave.

Fans sometimes call themselves the «lions» and often draw a lion on banners
