Team Constitution

We the Thinkers as cohorts and team members do here-by swear that for the good of the team and our own desire for achievement, will make every effort to comply with the agreed upon areas of importance by following the guidelines , stipulations, and allowances set in place.

To succeed as a Team

We as individuals promise to keep the airways of

communication

open and alive

We will do this by….

Email By sending group messages we ensure that each

team member receives the same information ensuring that all members of The Thinkers are kept on the same proverbial page.

Phone If someone is unable to get to their email then a

call should be place to at least one teammember.

Attendance

To minimize the likely hood that any team member should ever have to miss a meeting we agree to hold one definite meeting each week.

Unless a change in schedule is agreed upon by the team, our weekly team meetings shall be held the Thursday of each week at 7 PM and shall last for one hour.

It is in our best interests to attend the meetings and we will make every effort to schedule our personal lives around these meeting times.

What if we can’t make it?

As a team we have agreed that the only times a team member may miss a meeting is

o Illnesso scheduled vacation o unexpected change in work

schedule.

Participation

In the area of participation we promise to speak up

in live chat meetings so that our ideas and suggestions will be heard. This will help us be active in our own education as well as helping us to overcome any fixed mindsets we may be harboring.

To the team we promise to carry our own weight by volunteering for tasks and contributing to conversations as this will ensure that we are an active participate in the continued success of the group.

How are we going to stay on track??

A facilitator and note taker will also be designated at the beginning of each class.

o The facilitator will help maintain the flowof meetings and ensure that we stay on track.

o The note taker will assemble key points of the meeting and post them into aMeeting Minutes forum so that absent team members may see what was discussed and/or attending team members may go back to peruse them at a later date.

Assignments

In the area of assignments the team will use the Assignments forum during the first part of the week so that everyone can brainstorm the assignment.

During these forum conversations we will also volunteer for what portions of the assignment we would like to tackle.

We understand that many team assignments will be due the following Sunday after they have been given, however we also understand that some tasks may have an earlier completion date and that will be taken into consideration at the beginning of each week.

If any team member finds themselves struggling with their portion of the assignment a Help Forum has been created so that the rest of the team can be notified and begin to offer ideas and suggestions so the Team Grade will not be compromised

It is our goal as a team to have the assignments finished ahead of the deadline so that we will have time to ensure satisfaction with each portion and correct or revise any area’s that may not be as desired.

Virtual Meeting Space

The agreed upon virtual meeting space is WetPaint.com at which we have established a web page. Our workspace will be used in a variety of different ways:

o Various pages of the site will be used to house old assignments as well as work on new ones.

o A chat forum as been added to the main page to allow us to have team meetings directly at the site.

o Discussion forums are present so that we may have a continued stream of dialog even while not in a meeting.

Conflict

In the event that a conflict should arise between team members all ideas shall be put forth in a respectful exchange of active speaking and attentive listening.

If a compromise or collaboration can not be determined after all suggestions and view points have been heard then a consensus shall be established in order to finalize the conflict

Team Evaluation

The area of team evaluation shall be looked into at the end of each weekly assignment.

Each team member shall make a post at

the end of that week’s assignment forum expressing their likes, dislikes and suggestions for change.

These comments will be taken into consideration during the organization of the next week’s assignments.
