The Trojan Horse The Trojan Horse allowed the Greeks to enter the city of Troy during the Trojan War. It was a gigantic hollow and wooden horse. Thirty soldiers hid in the horse’s belly, and two spies hid in the horse’s mouth. The Greeks left the horse outside the gates of Troy, and then pretended to sail away. The Trojans thought that it was a peace offering for them and the Gods. The Trojans then brought the horse into their city, and unknowingly brought the Greek soldiers with them. The Trojans feasted and got drunk, in celebration of the Greeks’ supposed succumbing. When they had passed out, the Greeks silently slid out of the horse and stealthily murdered all of the Trojans. When they had finished their job, the Greeks lit the great city of Troy on fire. Samantha Bullinger
