In connection with the transfers which have been effectedtoday:-

(1) Sale of shares in Canton Holdings LimitedI enclose a copy of the Memorandum of Sale and of thePower of Attorney authorising me to execute the Memorandumof Sale on behalf of the Vendor, Richmond Nominees Limitedto Orion Nominees Limited of all of Houshang Bouzari' sinterest in Canton Holdings Limited for a purchaseconsideration of US$300,OOO. I also enclose a copy of theletter of instruction to our bankers, Messrs Coutts & Co.This takes the form of two letters and a telegraphictransfer form. I confirm that the sum of US$300,OOO andnot the sterling equivalent thereof is being transferredto the Ministry of Information Foreign Currency Account,Account No. 78, Tehran at the Bank Markazi Iran inTehran.

(2) In relation to the transfer of US$900, 000 to BankMarkazi, the same account as above I enclose a copy of thetelegraphic transfer to Barclays Bank in Guernsey for theirrevocable transfer of the sums in question.

Both irrevocable transfers should result in funds beingreceived on or before Friday'morning of this week.

'

Clearly the intention is that as soon as you receivecleared funds for the said amount into this firm'Ssterling client account the full amount thereof betransferred in accordance with the instruction enclosedherewith for the benefit of the Ministry of Information,Foreign Currency Account, Account No, 78, Tehran, at theBank Markazi Iran, Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran.
