Learning Shapes Kindergarten Objective: This class of kindergarten students will know and be able to recognize the five shapes consisting of a rectangle, square, circle, triangle and octagon as well as where they are found in their daily lives through a PowerPoint designed by the teacher. This knowledge will be mastered at the end of the week through a recognition test with 100 percent accuracy. - each day a new shape will be introduced, I will show how to draw it (the students will mimic the drawing on their own paper), we will then have a discussion about where the students have seen this shape and I will present some images of this shape in their everyday lives. -technology: computer and smart board if available -works cited:
