Brer Possum’s Dilemma • By: Arijai Henry
Summary • It was about a possum helping a
snake out of this hole. At first the possum didn’t want to help the snake because he knew that the snake was going to bit him then he finally helped him and put him in his pocket then the snake bit the possum.
Round and flat character.• The round character would be Brer
snake and Bere Possum they would be the round character because we know a lot about them like there snakes. There are no flat character because there only two characters in this story.
Static & Dynamic• Brer possum stayed the same.
Dynamic was Bere snake he changed because he was cool then he bit Bere possum.
compare& contrast• The snake and the possum does
not have legs. There both males. The snake was mean and the possum was nice.
Inferences • I think that all snakes are evil.
Author Opinion• That all snakes are evil and all
possums are honest and nice.

Internal & External conflict• The possum internal conflict is not
to believe/ help another snake because they will bit him. The external conflict was the snake because he bit the possum for no reason.

Intended Audience• I will say 5th grade will be the

Context clues• Persimmon-some type of tree.
Predictions• I think the possum got really hurt
bad and the snake just left him like nothing happened. I think the snake going to trick somebody else and do the same thing that he did to possum.
