Troubleshooting If a TRE or combiner is in Not Operational or FOS state thendisable it then initialize it by using init command. If TRE or combiner can not operational by doing above commandthen remove it by using the following method. Go to configuration>>Hardware setting>>Begin HW modification. Go to Configuration>>Hardware setting>>Remove. Remove the Hardware from BTS. Window will be appear of Hardware removal, select the module toremove. Go to Configuration>>Hardware setting>>End Modification. Click yes when configuration changes window appears. 41. HardwareRemoval MethodStep:1 42. HardwareRemoval Step:2 43. HardwareRemoval Step:3 44. Troubleshooting cont.. When a module goes in FOS state then it must be disable byusing disable command before initializing it by using initcommand otherwise it will not goes to operational state. When a module is in Not Operational state with color whitethen it means it has not got its RSL number still. Reload BTSdata by going to configuration>Reload Bts data or using amethod of Begin Hardware then End Hardware as discussedearlier. It will take some time to become operational. When a module is in MSD or MSA state then it will not getany command because its maintenance has seized for a while. When TRE RSL has locked then then its RSL will not bestable, so unlock the TRE from OMC. 45. Troubleshooting cont.. Sometime there is some faulty hardware in Bts thats why othersectors or TREs can effect and can not work properly. Due tothese faulty hardware other sectors or TREs can be down sosimply remove this hardware. By this method other hardwarebecome in operational state. Some time SUMA can not work properly thats why whole Btseffects so change the slot of SUMA and give hard reset to Bts. If modules in a shelf can not powers up then check its powercable at the back ports of Bts or check it RI cable. Also checkthe power switch for the concern shelf. If a EACB card is Not operational or FIT state then initialize itfrom software. If it again goes in FIT state then Alarm card isfaulty. 46. Troubleshooting cont.. Some time Primary Abis is stable by showing LED on Suma cardbut OML can not become stable, It means that Abis LED is fake.So check the Tx/Rx cable from both Bts end and microwave endand make sure that it is correctly connected. Also check Tx/Rxpatching on DDF by using LED. Make sure that LED blinks onevery pair on DDF. Also check the BNC and Abis connectors.Abis cable which is connected from Suma card to Bts board canbe faulty so also verify it. If a TRE or combiner can not operational than change its slotthen verify it. Vswr issues can be resolved by checking connectors from Bts endand feeder end. The last option for Alcatel equipment to become operational isthe Hard reset of Bts. 47. External Alarms of MBO2 48.
