Almost all high end photographers and Photography agencies have a website. These are very simple, sleek and allow the images to speak for themselves. They tend to be in either black or white.

First attempt at website design

Splash image too stretched

This font is too hard to read and red is too aggressive for our purpose

Text is simpler and turns to bold When the relevant page is open. Image is not stretched but still Visually arresting.

Buttons become bolder when the page is selected

Colour palette is very simple with white on black.

I had initially planned on dividing up The gallery page into editorial and Advertising pictures which customers Could buy but then realised that the Site should serve more of an Advertising function than a commercial one

So I changed the site to allow For browsing of whichever Genre the viewer was Interested in.

When a photograph Is rolled over it darkens and When clicked it opens In this lightbox

I had not initially wanted to Include any social networking Information on my site but it Became clear that almost all Agencies and photographers do have Facebook and Twitter Accounts so I included them but tried to keep them discreet.
