• HDRI, medical imaging, 3D imaging and printing, mobile displays, data visualization, computer graphics , motion pictures, color quality metrics, ...

Revitalizing Technical Committees

• Running / participating in TC is a tough job

• Would benefit from simple, explicit life cycle

• What is expected by when and from whom

• More dynamic rules for participation

• Active role instead of long–term appointment, chair rotation, scope adjustment, consultants for specific sub-topics, ...

• Difficult to effect (voluntary participation); would benefit dynamism and appeal of standards work

Web and social media engagement

• CIE Division 8 is authority on color imaging

• On-line presence and visibility limited

• Who do people go to for answers?

• Are we there when color and imaging experts meet online?

• Greater prominence would drive both dissemination of results (and publications) and encourage participation
