Professor at UPC Barcelona Tech and research managerof the Autonomic Systems and eBusiness Platformsresearch line at Barcelona Supercomputing Center –Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC). He hasbeen Vice-dean at the Computer Science School andcurrently he is a member of the Board of Governors atUPC. He has more than twenty years of experience inresearch and development of advanced distributed andparallel Systems with more than a hundred researchpublications. Currently he is doing I+D+i to obtain moresustainable Cloud Computing environments incollaboration with IT companies. He acts as an experton these topics for various organizations andcollaborate with mass media to disseminate ICT. He hasjust published the book in spanish “Empresas en lanube. Ventajas y retos del Cloud Computing”.
