Created by: Sandra Harris

•Today, you are going to copy and paste from a PDF file to Notebook Software.
•Open the “Indicators” PDF file located in the Shared folder
within the appsoneagles (P:) drive. Select an indicator
from Goal 5.
STEP 1: Click on the camera icon on the toolbar which represents the Snapshot tool in order to select and copy your desired indicator.
STEP 2: Use the mouse to click and drag a rectangle around the selected area that you would like to copy.
When the Adobe Reader message appears, click OK.
STEP 3: Minimize the Math Indicator PDF file by clicking on the minus sign in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
This keeps the file open, but places the file at the bottom of your screen so you can open and view another file but can reopen the file again easily later.
NOTE: The Math Indicators are now located at the bottom of your screen and can be reopened for viewing by simply clicking on it.
STEP 4: Double click on the Notebook Software Icon to open up Notebook Software.
STEP 5: Click I Agree
STEP 6: Right click on your mouse and then left click on paste. The PDF item you selected and copied from the indicators should now be pasted to the notebook software page.
STEP 7: Align your image on your slide. When you run the mouse over the rectangle of the pasted item, you will see a circle on the corners of the rectangle. If you select a circle and bring it in, this will make the size of the image smaller. If you select the circle and take it out, it will increase the size of the image. When you run the mouse over the image and see 2 arrows crossing perpendicularly ( ), you will be able to click and drag the image to your desired location on the page.

STEP 8: Now you have slide 1 of your notebook software. Click Insert on the toolbar to insert a new blank page. Once you have a new blank slide, click on the minus sign in the upper right hand corner of the notebook software page to minimize the software and then click on Indicators below to reopen the math indicators. Click the camera and use mouse to select the area you would like to copy and paste to slide 2 from the PDF file.

Indicators
Repeat Steps 1 – 8 to copy and paste 10 indicators from Goal 5 to notebook software. Remember to minimize and maximize the Indicators PDF file and the Notebook Software file. Don’t forget to save your work to your folder on the shared drive after adding new items to your notebook software. (Don’t just wait until the end to save, but save all along the way!)
NOTE: Page sorter shows the number of slides you currently have for your notebook software. (You should have a total of at least 10 pages at the end of this task.)
