Build Trust
If people trust you they will listen to you. If they do not then no matter how great a communicator you are your message will go to waste.
The easiest way to build trust is to walk your talk. That is do as you say. There should be no difference between your action and words.

There is a saying “ People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care”
You need to appear to be genuinely interested in them rather them having a sanitized, formal communication with them. There should be warmth and desire to build relationships

He jokes with them and is extremely caring while interacting with them.
Be Specific
