I did for the first time recently. I was so frustrated!

People who run out of fuel quickly try to siphon it off others.

People who are doing what we do.Mentors-Connect to a diversity of people. People that can coach you in different areas and speak into your life. People you actually interact with.

EMOTIONAL FUELWhat are refueling relationshps?DON’T THINK YOU CAN SURVIVE WITH JUST DEAD MENTORS AND READING OF BOOKS.

They won’t be emotionally refueling enough…because they don’t know YOU.

EMOTIONAL FUELAPs—peer followers, similiar place you are. Hold you accountable to commitments you’ve made.Some of you have chosen people you don’t feel safe with. You may have chosen the wrong person.Mentees—speaking into their lives, further along than they are.Inner circle—may overlap. The people your closest to. Colleagues. Spouse, family.

EMOTIONAL FUELBe proactive. Don’t just let relationships happen. Give lots of thought to select friends. Be intentional.

I’ve noticed many interns are attracted at the beginning of the year to people that share their same weaknesses. That’s fine, but did you do that by default or did you really think about who you are friends with?
