What is ENERGY ?

• Defining Energy is really hard but in a simple form Energy means…Energy is what that can make things happen.

• Example – • 1.Playing drums is Sound Energy.• 2.LightBulb , Glow-worm , Angler Fish

gives light so they are light Energy.

Heat EnergyHeat Energies mostly come from flames. When

water is boiling the heat is provided from the flames. Nuclear Explosions sometimes causes fire so the heat can also some from Nuclear Explosions.

Uses of Heat Energy in daily life - • Food is cooked on gas stove using flame which

Light Energy

• The speed that light travels is nearly 300,000 kilometers per second which is really fast. Light comes from the sun, moon , glow-worms , angler fish, tube light…etc.

Uses of Light Energy in daily life – • Our life is mostly dependent on light,

because , without light we wont be able to switch on electronics stuff.

• It would be dark if we wouldn't have tube lights switch on.

Sound Energy

Sound Energy is caused by vibration of particles in a matter. Sound is a mechanical wave which requires medium to travel through. Sound Energy comes from when drums, guitar or radio is being played.

Uses of Sound Energy in daily life – • Listening to music.• Talking to a person on the phone.• Watching T.V.

Electrical Energy

• Electrical Energy can come from T.V’s , charging your hand phones , thunders…etc. When thunders strike a machine catches its electricity.

• Uses of Electrical Energy in daily life – • Used for powering devices throughout the

world.• To make things work electrical energy

should emit from energy sources such as power plants to function.

Chemical EnergyChemical Energy is mostly stored and

they are ready to explode..in petrol the chemical releases very quickly, but, food releases chemical very slowly.

Uses of Chemical Energy in daily life - • When fireworks are bursted at the

same time the chemical is released from the firework.

Nuclear Energy

Nuclear Energy comes from radioactive explosions.

Kinetic and P tential Energy

Potential Energy is energy stored in a object , stretching a rubber band is potential.

Uses of Potential Energy in daily life –

• A unopened can of carbonated soda in Potential Energy.

Kinetic Energy is the energy of motion. A rubber band flying is Kinetic Energy.

Anything which is over the ground has Gravitational Energy.

• Gravity is dragging us ,because of that we are able to run , walk…etc.

Elastic Energy

Elastic energy is a type of energy which has energy stored and it is ready to be pulled or stretched. Rubber bands has Elastic Energy.

Uses of Elastic Energy in daily life –

• Stretching our body/muscles to make our body strong.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages• Nuclear energy provides

electricity.• Thunders energy provides

electricity.• Hearing music is really fun

and relaxing.• Nuclear power plants need

less fuel then fossil fuel.

Disadvantages• Nuclear bombs can

produce radiation and kill people.

• Thunders can make people go blind.

• To loud music may damage someone’s ear.

• The affect of Nuclear bomb is until forty to forty five years.

Influences of Energies in Human Life.

• When we are at home we should not switch on a lot of lights because switching it on wastes a lot light , heat and electric energy.

• While in the kitchen you are cooking food and you have to pick up a phone call remember to switch of the gas stove or else it would lose a lot of heat and chemical energy.

• SAVE ENERGIES, IN THE FUTURE WE MIGHT NEED IT !!!
