Goggle is an American multinational corporation that provides internet related products and services, including software and advertising technology.

Google began in January 1996 as a research project by Larry page and Sergey Brin when they were both PhD students at Stamford University in California.

The domain name for Google was registered on September 15, 1997 and the company was incorporated on September 4, 1998 in a garage and its initial public offering followed on August 19, 2004

The service was upgraded from beta status on July 7, 2009.

Google Chrome is a web browser developed by Google that uses the layout engine.
It was released as a beta version for Microsoft Windows on September 2, 2008, and as a stable public release on December 11, 2008.
As of February 2013, according to Star Counter, Google Chrome has a 37% worldwide usage share of web browsers making it the most widely used web browser in the world.
