Executive Summary
• The feature have been activated successfully on 16 September 2014 around 23:00 in RNC_TTCHMUHAMMAD1.
Feature Gain
-User are served in HSPA service rather than PS R99 service. PS R99 DL and UL payload reduced 7.1% and 11.5%
respectively but the HSDPA and HSUPA payload increased 14.6% and 16.9% respectively.
-Average RNC Mean RTWP improve about 2dB.
-Average PS and HSPA Throughput improved.
Feature Drawback
- Accessibility slightly degraded after the feature activation due to transmission packet which already exist before
the feature activation , please see the attached analysis report in coming slide for details explanation.

BackgroundWith the increasing use of HSPA/HSPA+, the downlink peak data rate increases. The uplink performance needs to be improved accordingly. According to the changes in UE behavior and network status, this feature dynamically configures the optimum power control parameters for the uplink data channel of a UE, thereby increasing HSUPA capacity. This feature only applies to HSUPA 10 ms BE services.
SolutionThe offset of E-DPDCH power relative to DPCCH RX power is one of the major factors that determine the DPCCH RX power. A UE in low-rate little retransmission staterequires less DPCCH RX power than it does in high-rate little retransmission state.

RTWP Measurement
Average RTWP of the RNC improved around 2db after the feature activation. Improvement in RTWP could lead to improve in HSDPA and HSUPA throughput.

Throughput
Average PS and HSPA throughput improved. More significant improvement observed in HSUPA
throughput.
