• In a old time people started counting animals on their fingers. Then sometimes they counted on stones.

• john Napier a mathematician from Scotland invented calculating rods called Napier bones the rods were used to help people multiply large numbers.

Some years later a young French mathematician named braise Pascal was working in his father office his job was to add long columns tax doing all this adding. Pascal came to get the job faster he invented a machine the size of a shoe box that could add and subtract numbers
