Profiles is a directory of the people in your organization that allows you to find and connect with the right people fast. You can search for people based on their contact information, background, or expertise. Let people know who you are by filling out your own profile.

Wikis

A wiki is a collection of web pages about a particular topic.

Wikis are a great way to share information centrally and encourage collaboration within your project team.

Wiki members can add their own pages, and edit and comment on existing pages, thereby ensuring that information is always kept up-to-date.

Rich text editor: paste special styles

Paste Special – introduces a clean-up mechanism which cleans pasted content originating from applications like Microsoft Word.

Styles – styles are maintained after the paste action.

• Caveats:• Difficulty using Points not Pixels for font size.• Using cms/mms/inches for indents in Lists do not paste well• Images and Embedded content do not paste.

• Advised:• Use Pixel sizes for best support

Files

Files offers a convenient way to upload and store files in a central repository.

You can share uploaded files with selected people, giving you the means to collaborate on content without having to send large files through email.

You can also recommend and comment on files, organize files using folders, and track different versions of files.

Following on Folders– Receive notification when a folder is shared with you.– If you are following a folder, notification will be sent when a file is added to a folder.

A forum is an online discussion board with a focus on a particular topic or theme.

You can participate in a forum by posting questions or responding to existing discussion threads.

Communities

A community is a group of people who share a common interest. Communities provide an excellent way to connect members of a team and help them to stay in touch and share information.

Communities can be public or restricted, allowing community owners to control who can join the community and access community content.

Community invitations and membership

You can view all the pending invitations for a community from the Invitations tab on the community's Members page. The tab displays information about when each invitation was sent and who it was sent to.

Community owner can edit membership roles or remove a member from the community.

Sharing Files with a Community

File owners can share files with a community or give a copy of a file to a community directly from the Files application.

Sub-communities Creating sub-communities is a useful way of organizing your community members into smaller

groups with different areas of focus. – Community owners automatically become owners of sub-community. – The sub-community has exactly the same functionality as the parent community.– Displays on the My Communities page.

Media Gallery – New in v3.0.1. Can be added to any Community using the

Media Gallery Widget Allows community users to upload images and

videos to be viewed “inline” (ie. from the end user's browser) without requiring additional software/pugins etc.

Images can quickly be “previewed” using the available preview dialog

Uploaded images and files are stored in the “Files” repository

Can be added to any existing community using the Ideation Blog Widget Allow your teams to post their ideas for evaluation by others Collect comments and feedback on people's ideas Allow users to vote on ideas and thereby register their support (or not) for a

Content Moderation Support – New in v3.0.1.

A “system” or “global” moderator role can be defined allowing for review and approval of any moderated content on a server

As an alternative, Community “owners” can moderate their own content including:

– Blog entries and Comments– Community Files and Comments – Forum Posts

If implemented, a community owner must approve any content that is subject to moderation before it will be visible to others

Community members can still notify the Community owner if they feel some content should be flagged for review
