MOLDOVA SUMMERCAMP

• A summer camp for orphans in Moldova• Fully sponsored by Leo Club Aarhus• Program included activities such as:

lectures in the nature (how to survive), gymnastics, first aid and several trips to historical places and amusement parks

• From september the 3 Leo club in Budapest will organise info events in high schools of Budapest. The government of Hungary made a new law: every student from 2015 has to spend 50 hours with social work, only in this case can they attend the final exam at the end of their high school years. Now we will try to advertise ourselves trough this law, hoping that some of the students will become a member of our clubs.

What is an ILO?


• ILO = International Liaison Officer

• Contact person of a country for foreign Leo countries and vice versa

• Main purpose: communicate and share information between Leo nations

• Representative of a country’s Leo movement abroad

• No official function of LCI, but often part of the Leo (multi) district board


Duties of an ILO


• Promote Leos nationally and internationally

• Report about the situation of the Leo movement in other countries

• Connect with national and international Lions

• Facilitate requests from other ILOs / Leos

• Provide answers to questions from Lions/Leos in upcoming Leo countries

• Document the country situation of Leos twice yearly

How can Lions support Leos


• Organize common projects between Leo and Lions

Imagine a world, where you can find among every 1’000 people 1 Leo. • The Leo Index was created by the ILOs to

compare the strength of the Leo movement in the countries; not to blame weak Leo countries but to encourage them to support Leos!

• The index compares the amount of Leos to the amount of inhabitants.

• An index of 1 means the country has reached the goal of 1 Leo per 1’000 inhabitants.
