u DRI (Johnson Criteria) is a universally accepted set of standards developed by the US Army.

u Provides a standardized benchmark for comparing the effective ranges of thermal camera configurations.

u means that you will be able to see the target, though it will be little more than a couple pixels.

u means that you are able to recognize an object’s class. (Is it a human, a vehicle, or a vessel?)

u means that you are able to differentiate between objects. (Male or female, car or truck.)

u DRI is based on a 50% probability in “ideal conditions” which rarely happen in the real world.

These cameras all utilize DICE (Dynamic Image Contrast Enhancement) to increase the range and performance over standard DDE image processing.

These cameras not only boast large focal lengths but also maintain an industry leading f1~f1.3 f-stop to allow more heat to transfer to the sensor, resulting in better detection, recognition and identification. An f1.0 lens gathers 2½ times more light or heat than a standard f1.6 lens.

All lenses have auto-focus and all sensors have real-time image enhancement as well as fog, haze and turbulence mitigation.

The available horizontal fields of view range from 35° to 0.26°. We can custom build longer range cameras for certain military groups and have cryo coolers with ratings of 24,000 hours and MTBF of 14,000 hours before maintenance.

Infiniti boasts the best selection of long range optics by offering fixed, multi-FOV and continuous zoom options.We can achieve a HFOV range of 180° to 0.005° when using a multi-sensor system. That’s a 36,000x zoom factor from the widest angle to longest range before the use of digital zoom.Infiniti has over 100 camera and lens combinations in order to meet ideal requirements for each customer.All Infiniti lenses are HD Resolution and IR corrected to be optimized for surveillance use.Most of our lens options have auto focus, integrated fog filter and ATO which corrects the lens from being affected by temperature changes that affect clarity and sharpness.

Auto Backfocus: Even the most minute misalignment can cause a system to lose focus and sharpness. Infiniti camera’s MBF (Motorized Back Focus) allows the lens and camera’s backfocus to be adjusted remotely rather than sending it back for repair or re-alignment. ATO: Automatic Temperature Optimization. With long range telephoto zoom lenses, small temperature fluctuations that occur even in heated enclosures result in blurry and unfocused images. Many of Infiniti Optics lenses are equipped with ATO which automatically compensates for this, keeping the lens in focus even in extreme temperatures, unlike traditional surveillance lenses.

Auto Focus: Automatically focuses each time the camera is zoomed with manual overide available for autonomous operation with slew to cue systems or manual operationOptical Fog/Haze Filter allows an Infiniti visible camera to utilize NIR wavelengths to see through fog, haze, smoke and dust, greatly increasing the use of visible cameras. The Filter can be actviated by the operator and uses an IR monochrome mode to enhance the contrast and clarity. Infiniti can custom build cameras with up to 5 selectable filters to isolate different wavelengths in order to see through optical obstructions that can hinder standard cameras.

u For long range applications, stabilization is often a requirement. The larger the camera lens, the greater the need for stablization.

u IES (Electronic Image Stablization) is only good for wide angle cameras and a small amount of motion. A 1° image shake on a 50° HFOV is just 2% of the image, but a 1° shake on a 1° HFOV is 100% of the image.

u Gyro stabilization is customized and tuned for the application and can be applied to any sensor or payload including but not limited to: antennas, weapons, HD Visbile, MWIR SWIR, LWIR, CCTV, thermal infrared, LRF, etc.

u Mechanical stablization compensates for movements in mast, tower, vehicle and vessel applications by using a military grade MEMS sensor gyroscope and strain wave gear pan/tilt.

u Digital Compass allows for true north pointing as well as reliable auto tracking and slew to cue operation.

Laser Range Finder (LRF) uses laser pulses to determine a target’s range 1~40km with an accuracy of <10m.

When combined with the camera’s location, the the exact GPS positon of the target can be plotted on a digital map.

LRF uses 1550nm light and is invisible to almost all sensors (except Night Vision GEN 1-3 and SWIR Cameras).

Infiniti can provide advanced analytics that can use the thermal camera video to determine the GPS position without an LRF, but it requires customized engineering for each new payload configuration. This solution can be cheaper for larger quantity projects and is a completely stealth solution that can’t be detected but does add to lead time.
