2. Background Information
Scientists believe that the Universe is ever expanding because of
the increase in galaxies and heavenly bodies.
This heavily implied that the growth of these heavenly bodies was
rapid.
These were the basis of the scientists argument that the universe
was expanding.
3. Big Bang Theory
The term Big Bang generally refers to the idea that the Universe
has expanded from a prehistorically hot and dense initial condition
at some finite time in the past.
Georges Lemaitre proposed what became known as the Big Bang theory
of the origin of the Universe. The framework for the model relies
on Albert Einsteinsgeneral relativity and on simplifying
assumptions.
4. Big Bang reasoning
Fred Hoyle is credited with coining the term Big Bang during a 1949
radio broadcast.
Scientists knew by both experiments and observations that our
heavenly bodies were moving slowly apart.
Earlier and as time passed our planets, starts, galaxies. Solar
systems were packed closely together in a burning
environment.
5. Added Proof
Scientists with many advanced tools, have calculated the
wavelengths from the stars.
As time has wore on, the wavelengths have increased which is called
red shift.
Now we know that the wavelengths have increased over time, we know
that the stars have accelerated away.
This proves that there was a point that everything was condensed
some point in time about (13 million years ago.)
6. Pictures
This picture shows how earlier all of the planets were condensed
and as time wore on the gradually fell apart. Some people say that
even the space itself is expanding.
