NUCLEAR ENERGY THE FUSION

• This energy comes from the union of two or more atomic nuclei, normally hydrogenum, and this, form neutrons, helium, and energy.

• It is the same energy that the Sun has.

1. Where does this energy comes from?

Page 3: Nuclear energy fusion oficcial

• At the moment we don´t work this energy because we don´t know how we can work it.

• The elements of this energy are easy to find in this world, for this, this energy is renewable.

2. Is Renewable or Non-renewable?

3. What kind of energy transformation takes place?

• When 2 atoms of Hydrogen fusion we obtain 1 atom of Helium and a lot of heat energy

4. How do we transform the energy?

• Power is generated by the collision of atoms very powerful, the reverse of fission where the particles are separated.

• When we have heat energy, we can use it to heat water, move a turbine and generate electricity

5.Enviroment ImpactScientists say it will be an inexhaustible energy source, safe and clean from hydrogen. But we won’t know until approximately 2018, when it is expected for completion of ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor).

6. Is this a good energy source for the Canary Islands? Why?

• Not , because an installation of this type would have a very high cost and the Canary Islands can take a lot of renewable energies alternatives to this

•Adventages:- It is a clean energy.- It is almost inexhaustible.- It is secure. There isn´t any possible danger.

•Disadvantages:- Today the science doesn´t know how we can work it.- Request a very high temperature- The energy that it will be generate is less that the energy use to

generate it.(The generation is many expensive)

7. Pros and Cons
