longer side to the shorter is the golden ratio. Manygraphic designers would choose to use thisbecause it is found in nature and would makeimages more realistic, and also would use itbecause this proportion is known to be aestheticallypleasing.
Mathematicians have studied the golden ratiobecause of its unique and interesting properties.
