Inspiration for company logosHere I like the colours against black they would stand out however I don’t like the fact that the triangle is inside the box.

The structure of this sign is good for our logo because the word media could be added below.

For a logo it is not uncommon to see pictures however they are mainly wording.

Here I think that the skull is effective because it is simple but a easily recognisable horror symbol.

I think this is a logo that has a strong convention with the horror genre. It is such as simple logo and could be used in a production company logo quite easily without over complicating it.

The inspiration for this picture is the stencil font that has been added this looks effective.

This is good quarantine example of warning tape. This could be made into a logo because it is simple to recreate in Photoshop and could look effective with the right text.

Stage oneHere I am trying out different styles of the text logo i decided that I preferred the splattered effect one instead.

Here I have added the gas mask logo common conventions of media horror trailers where the villain's face cannot be seen.

I have decided to add the title in green because it matches the nature of the word. When associating with ‘corrosive’ green is commonly thought of as destructive.

This picture is taken from the internet and it still has the white background behind it so white will have to be used.

Stage 3

Here I have added front from Font Meme and have put media underneath it to add the professional feel to it. The words ‘media’ or ‘pictures’ are usually used in the film production logo.

The logo I have taken is very simple this is why I have chosen it because conventionally they are very simple. I also like it because the shapes are easily constructed out of circles which can be easily recreated.

Stage 5

This is a logo which I have taken from the inspiration of the chemical plants. This is from a scientific nature and I like this because it is also very simple.

The colours however would look better if there was another colour like red as this is a horror convention colour.

I have added the word media at the bottom of the logo because it fits neatly in the diamond shape.

Things to be improved on would be the colours of the logo maybe red could be added in.

The text is different here on these two logos because I couldn’t find two texts that match however it does make it stand out.

Stage 6

This symbol is taken from the science safety warnings I think these are perfect to use because they are simple and clear to understand no matter what language it is in.

The production company Corrosive has been added on the symbol I decided to put this on the slant because it makes for a better composition.

The colours of yellow and black are alarming and remind us of warning signs this is linked to the horror genre.

Stage 7

This is my finished logo and here I have added the word ‘media’ underneath this now look professional. I would however put the media in a different text because I would then place it on the right hand side slant.

Stage 8

This is the start of the logo and it is based on the warning rope that the police use.

I have also placed this diagonal so it resembles that of a warning tape.

I have also added it in yellow because it is bright and easy to see against black which it will probably be on a black background.

Stage 9

I don’t like this logo because it has a white background behind the text so it doesn’t look professional. If I was take out the background it would look messy and badly done.

The text is chunky and bold this makes it easy to see which is what a logo should be.

Stage 10Here I have chosen the horror convention colours of red black and white to make it look clean and nicely finish it off.

I have added the ‘media’ underneath the logo and I have tried to find text that matched the corrosive one. To use this as a logo I think it would be too simple and would reflect the genre that we are doing.

Stage 11

The picture of skull and crossbones is added at the top. The skull and cross bones is another horror genre conventions and can easily be associated.

Here I have matched the text up quite well and I think that this now looks more professional.
