ProposalThis is a presentation containing all my ideas I intend to use in my music

video.

Location

• The locations we plan to use to record our music video are:

• The School playing fields

• Blandford camp

• Sturminster Newton Football Club

• We intend to seek permission to be able to film on these locations.

• Why we want to film there:

• The school playing fields offer us the choices to use the two football pitches and the rugby pitch. All the pitches have the posts, the correct lines and flag markings, that make it as real as possible (i.e. compared to professional football stadiums).

Location (2)

• Sturminster Newton football club offers us a location where the facilities are similar to professional football grounds. Yes, there are no stands and seats, although it offers floodlights, barriers to separate the crowd from the players and a well maintained pitch.

Location (3)

• Blandford camp is the 11th Signal Regiment of the British Army. It is a large camp that houses lots of soldiers of all ranks, and included on the camp are football and rugby pitches, a gym, assault course and an athletics track as shown below.

The plan

• The song has a duration of 3 minutes 40 seconds. We intend to use nearly all of this allowed time to make sure our music video has a strong storyline and makes sense with the lyrics.

• We don't intend to use a lot of cuts and transitions between clips as it interrupts the flow of the song and storyline. But we will make sure the transitions between clips run smoothly together.

The Plan(2)

• The first verse and chorus will contain the football aspect of the idea. It will show his struggle, as the lyrics explains the pressure of a scenario gets to him (and can potentially break the character) and he needs to escape to be on his own. The verse will show the actor training on his own to reflect his problems and try to fix them. As this builds up to the chorus, the tempo of the training will increase -showing his abilities to beat/resolve his problems/issues.

The plan (3)

• The second verse and second chorus will focus on the second sport we plan to use in our music video. Again the video will focus on the lyrics, which in the second verse, which talk about walking out and leaving ( maybe show a clip of the actor's reason why he walked out). Our actor will start off in everyday clothing at a rugby pitch (needs to show he misses the sport) - the next clip will see him trying to get back into Rugby -training and attending matches. In the process of building up towards the second chorus, like the football process, the tempo increase to match the pace of chorus.

The final verse and chorus

• The final verse and chorus will include both sportsmen and will offer a summary of their actions. They will both end up on a positive way, resolving their problems in failure/disappointment and this questions the lyrics.

• " Run away, run away, never come back No way I'm going down like that"

• Challenging the lyrics we wanted the video to end positively and tell the audience through the video's actions to, 'keep trying, don't give up'. We feel as though the negative ending, but a positive beat will give an encouragement to the audience.
