Client : Bell LabEmployer : CGIDuration : May-2013 to May 2015Role : DataStage DeveloperDescription:Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), sources data from all over the enterprise. The data is fed through pull and push from various systems. EDW also uses CDC (Change Data Capture) from IBM to process data at near real time(15 minutes lag). The redo logs from Oracle and SQL server is processed through CDC and fed to EDW. EDW uses Oracle to store the data from where it is being pushed to downstreamers or being fetched by other system for their use. There are various tools used to process/transform data in the EDW system. Datastage from IBM is primarily used for this purpose other than CDC, Trillium (address matching) and syncsort(bulk sorting).The data is primarily used by the sales and marketing team for their reporting and analysis but there are other down streams which use the data for other activities like calculating compensation or credit scoring. The data is also used for executive reporting.
