Like many software packages, SPSS is menu-driven. That means users

can execute statistical analyses, simple or complex, by clicking a

series of pull-down menus and selecting the desired pre-

programmed commands. However, many researchers or analysts

may use certain statistical procedures that are not pre-programmed

into SPSS. As a result, SPSS allows users to create custom

programs, or to link together multiple pre-programmed operations to

be applied in sequence.
