Jing
Jing is a free program that allows you to create screencasts. Instead of writing instructions explaining how to do something on the computer, you can take pictures of you screen and add arrows and text to it.You can also create videos that you can narrate!

Audacity
Audacity is a free audio recording device. It allows you to edit recordings and has a variety of editing options. You are also able to convert your recordings to MP3 files so that they can be uploaded.
Note: For both Audacity and Jing screencasts, a microphone is required. These can be purchased for under $20.

MoodleFor the adventurous! Similar to Blackboard. Teachers are able to create student accounts and manage the site. This is an active site that requires constant maintenance.
