“NA RE NA” SONG’S LINK:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kh9W750krgU Story line:Vocalist hinself is playing the main role in the video.

Starts with the death of the main character and video proceeds when whole life flashes before his eyes when he is about to die. In Ali's case doctors manage to save him. Rest of the video is filled with symbols marking events in his life that do not particularly connect in any specific order. In addition the Devil and Angel are shown in various scenes depicting the good and bad things he's done in his life or temptations you could even say.

“SAYYONI” SONG’S LINK:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWt5WF8dYKw Story line:It’s a story of an individual who faces great deal of

hardships in his life since his childhood. He is kidnapped by a terrorist who tries to put a bomb in his school bag but manages to escape. Since he lost track of his own house therefore he took refuge in a shrine. Even there people throw stones at him and he is humiliated publically. He is a person who can not leave peacefully and is tortured by the hands of life till he is alive. The video is mainly supported by the band shots and whirling dervishes of Turkey.

Mise en scene:oNA RE NA:In “na re na” its kept black mostly with shades of dark colors.

oSAYYONI:Is dark with a combination of dark colors and yellow effect where the video is in natural setting.

Lighting:oNA RE NA:The lighting is dark which adds more drama and seriousness to the video in case of “na re na”.

oSAYYONI:Lighting is mainly dark –low key lighting with a fill light or a simple reflector. However there are contrasting bright natural lighting-high key lighting. Therefore, the video is a combination of high key lighting and low key lighting.

Costumes/makeup:oNA RE NA:Specific costumes for every character. Costumes and makeup are playing a very important part in the video of “na re na” to support each character’s role in the story.

oSAYYONI:The characters are dressed according to their role and they are wearing mainly “shalwar kameez” to promote their culture. Whirling dervishes are wearing their white frocks and red caps. The band is also dressed in white

Special effects:oNA RE NA:In “na re na” there are no particular effects used and the video is not a technical work instead emphasis is laid on direction and camera angles by showing the symbols in such a way that they make sense to the viewer.

oSAYYONI:The special effect used in this video is that it is shot in the old age film style with some black and white shots in between.

CONCLUSION “na re na” is a song from Ali Azmat’s solo album social circus

which was released in 2005. The videos in album as the name suggests were mainly based on the social flaws in the society. “na re na” has outstanding video and won the Best Video award in Pakistan.

“SAYYONI” Junoon recorded their fifth album, AZADI in 1997. Junoon's manager, Shehryar Ahmad, secured the band its first international record deal, with the Azadi album, meaning freedom, being released by EMI/VIRGIN RECORD, and making it Junoon's debut album in India. "Sayonee", the first single off Azadi, became an instant hit in SOUTH ASIA and the Middle East, shooting to the top of all the Asian charts, and staying at #1 on both CHANNEL V and MTV Asia for over 2 months. As the name suggests it basically emphasizes on bringing about revolution and how we should act as free individuals of our own will.

Both the videos convey a diverse message through different editing techniques and Mise en sen used in each video.
