Looking For An Upscale Romantic Getaway For Not Too Much Money Have you ever wanted to go on a romantic getaway in Italy? Or have you ever wanted to ride on a gondola while the person operating it sang beautiful Italian songs? How about eating gourmet food and shopping all in one location? Well, my husband and I did too, but it’s just too expensive! So we did the next best thing. VEGAS! Ok, maybe it’s not the next best thing but it was certainly an enjoyable trip. We decided to splurge and stay in a 5-star hotel right on the strip. The Venetian Hotel was beautiful. It was a little piece of luxury right in the heart of Las Vegas. We could have easily stayed in the hotel deals the entire trip without ever having to leave. Everything we wanted was right there. Our Suite was gorgeous. It had a huge bathroom and a comfortable sitting area right in our room. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets were awesome. My husband and I have been wanting to see the Phantom of the Opera for years. And we finally got to. Not only that, but when we were tired after the show, we just got to go upstairs to our room. It was excellent. The show was amazing! I don’t think I will ever get sick of the beautiful music and wonderful talent of the actors. Although I was singing the songs in my head for the rest of the trip, so I guess that did get a little annoying. One night after our dinner reservations we wanted to go on a gondola ride to round out our “foreign” vacation. It was so peaceful. It was almost hard to remember we were indoors. The only thing it was lacking was the italian singing from the gondola operator. During the day we spent hours and hours by any one of the three pools. Vacations can’t go wrong when you get to spend your days poolside, sipping drinks and enjoying great music. When one pool got too loud for us to relax and enjoy our time, we just moved to the next one. It was truly amazing to have our choice of seats no matter where we were. Of course, we spent plenty of time in the casino. Lady luck was definitely not on our side this time, but it was still fun to play. We played blackjack, some poker and even a little bingo. We even spent

We even spent some time throwing coins into slot machines. Man, those things can totally suck you in. Each time I dropped in a new coin I would say it was my last. Next thing I knew, I had been sitting there for over an hour! (Now that I think of it, maybe a trip to Italy would have been less expensive! Ha ha!) We didn’t know it when we booked the hotel, but they share property with the Palazzo so we even spent some time in that casino too. (Just in case lady luck visits there more frequently.)
