4. Soho boasts the greatest collection of cast-iron
architecture in not only the city, but the world. The fire escape
ladders along the buildings remain an important reminder of NYCs
history. The construction of the ladders were made a law after the
tragedy of the Triangle Fire in 1911. Soho has many lofts and
artists but is now known for its variety of upscale boutiques and
restaurants.

streets. NYUs main campus is located in Greenwich Village in Lower
Manhattan. The prestigious school has 53,771 students, making it
one of the largest universities in the nation.
9. Rockefeller Center coupled with a GoPro in hand can be one
of the citys best sights. Built by the Rockefeller family, it is
located in the center of Midtown Manhattan. It is home to some of
the citys most spectacular events. It is also the location of the
NBC studios where SNL is shot. Talk shows like Good Morning America
and the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon are also shot at

10. The famous Rockefeller Center ice rink is looked over by
the Statue of Prometheus, a bronze gilded statue of the Greek
legend. The scene is especially beautiful around Christmas, with
the famous lit tree that guards the scene. The 2014 tree was an
astounding 85 feet, which drew people in from all over the
world.

12. After a long day in the city, Shake Shack is a must,
regardless of the time. Shake Shack is perhaps one of the most
popular restaurants in the city. Their famous milkshakes and
burgers make the usually long wait, especially in the spring, more
than worth it. The restaurant started as a food cart but with
growing popularity transformed into a casual establishment. In
2014, Shake Shack went public by opening shares in their
company.
