  3. 3. When you start to get hungry, sit down at the beautiful Mondrian Soho hotel for breakfast, brunch, or dinner. Isola, the restaurant in the hotel, is a magical escape within Mondrian Sohos 5,000 square foot greenhouse space.   4. 4. Soho boasts the greatest collection of cast-iron architecture in not only the city, but the world. The fire escape ladders along the buildings remain an important reminder of NYCs history. The construction of the ladders were made a law after the tragedy of the Triangle Fire in 1911. Soho has many lofts and artists but is now known for its variety of upscale boutiques and restaurants.

  6. 6. Graffiti in NYC originated in the subways, and has expanded throughout the city. Some view it is vandalism, while others view it as art. Regardless, we could all take this advice and smile more.
  7. 7. The New York City subway system is one of the worlds oldest forms of transportation. It is also the largest, with 468 stations in use. Not to mention, subway stations can make for great pictures of the city, especially with a GoPro in hand.
  8. 8. Regardless of the weather and your location, there is a good chance that you will be passed by NYU athletes running in the streets. NYUs main campus is located in Greenwich Village in Lower Manhattan. The prestigious school has 53,771 students, making it one of the largest universities in the nation.
  9. 9. Rockefeller Center coupled with a GoPro in hand can be one of the citys best sights. Built by the Rockefeller family, it is located in the center of Midtown Manhattan. It is home to some of the citys most spectacular events. It is also the location of the NBC studios where SNL is shot. Talk shows like Good Morning America and the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon are also shot at Rockefeller. 45 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, New York
  10. 10. The famous Rockefeller Center ice rink is looked over by the Statue of Prometheus, a bronze gilded statue of the Greek legend. The scene is especially beautiful around Christmas, with the famous lit tree that guards the scene. The 2014 tree was an astounding 85 feet, which drew people in from all over the world.

The history of street performers is interesting because, simply put, as long as there has been streets, there has been street performers. In 1987, a MUNY (Music Under New York) program was created that gave street performers authority and protected them.
  12. 12. After a long day in the city, Shake Shack is a must, regardless of the time. Shake Shack is perhaps one of the most popular restaurants in the city. Their famous milkshakes and burgers make the usually long wait, especially in the spring, more than worth it. The restaurant started as a food cart but with growing popularity transformed into a casual establishment. In 2014, Shake Shack went public by opening shares in their company.
