Main Challenges• Some European countries still in recession, impacting on the

industry• Products need to be adapted to target a younger demographic• Increasing numbers of claims companies targeting owners & the

industry• Continued focus by media & legislators on long-term perpetuity

contracts & the perceived lack of exit routes for legacy owners

2015 Priorities• Timeshare Directive review process to continue• CMA report recommending consideration of a legal right to

exit to be reviewed by the UK government:• RDO will continue to focus on tightening up on its Code

of Conduct in terms of surrenders• New RDO policies adopted to be promoted to

legislators & the media, demonstrating our commitment to looking after owners

2015 Priorities• Continue developing the relationship with TATOC• Pursue the major fraudsters, resulting in prosecutions• Launch a sales accreditation scheme• Conduct a KPI analysis of our members• Ensure the industry’s properly represented at the German

parliament (the Bundestag)

2015 Priorities• Hold a seminar in Tenerife to educate the hotel sector about the

timeshare industry• Launch an integrated social, digital & media campaign to

promote the positives of timeshare holidays and get not only the industry but also owners actively engaged in it
