TATOC & RDO) working to have fraudulent/deceptive companies investigated by the authorities & closed down• Complaints from consumers addressed & in some cases,
refunds provided

• Over 100 attendees• Positive feedback from delegates
• Successful RDO5 conference took place in London• Press event held in Tenerife, highlighting benefits of timeshare

Main Challenges• Some European countries still in recession, impacting on the
industry• Products need to be adapted to target a younger demographic• Increasing numbers of claims companies targeting owners & the
industry• Continued focus by media & legislators on long-term perpetuity
contracts & the perceived lack of exit routes for legacy owners

2015 Priorities• Timeshare Directive review process to continue• CMA report recommending consideration of a legal right to
exit to be reviewed by the UK government:• RDO will continue to focus on tightening up on its Code
of Conduct in terms of surrenders• New RDO policies adopted to be promoted to
legislators & the media, demonstrating our commitment to looking after owners

2015 Priorities• Continue developing the relationship with TATOC• Pursue the major fraudsters, resulting in prosecutions• Launch a sales accreditation scheme• Conduct a KPI analysis of our members• Ensure the industry’s properly represented at the German
parliament (the Bundestag)

2015 Priorities• Hold a seminar in Tenerife to educate the hotel sector about the
timeshare industry• Launch an integrated social, digital & media campaign to
promote the positives of timeshare holidays and get not only the industry but also owners actively engaged in it
