Dominicans characterize us by our traditions, our sport, music and our joy. Dominican culture I a blend of elements of Europeans, Africans and to a lesser degree, Indians. The country’s official language is Spanish. The Dominican cousin features the cousin of ‘Creole’ European and African but developed and America. The Dominican Republic is known for two musical rhythms called Bachata and Merengue, which have been popular since the mid-nineteenth century .
