about accommodation, money reimbursement and other practical issues.
We gladly answer all your questions and are looking forward to see You in Hungary!
About:
These days in Europe we face in a daily base local and global environmental issues. Our consuming
society accumulates waste material every day more and more. In our project young people looking for
uniqueness, they are interested in design and in recreating useful items (bags, accessories, musical
instruments, wallets, items used at home) from waste material. They do it in order to give them a new
life and make them sustainable. Participants share their new knowledge and theirs' countries best

practises with kids from the close villages and when they go home in their local communities as well,
they promote practical techniques of environmental protection.
We work on global problems in a local context in a diverse group and we stimulate participants to act
together upon it, by taking actively part in the creation, and giving creative workshops to the local
community as well. Developing creativity and entrepreneurship is a common need for the target
groups of all partners. Crafts is a very practical, enjoyable way to develop creativity and
entrepreneurship, non-formal learning methods: improve creativity as a skill and as a lifestyle, can be
easily integrated with it. It allows individual talent and initiative together with a team production at the
same time. Enhance cooperation and communication within a team, not only development of common
ideas, but also balance of ideas and their realization.
Why:
Our participants will come from different kind of cultural and social backgrounds. We aim to reach
youngsters living in smaller towns and countryside with different age and different experiences. Two of
our partners are working with youngsters living with disabilities and will work in integrated group. We
accept participants with light mental and physical disabilities as well. The selection criteria will be set
up before hand with our partners and we will create the application form together. After each partner
is going to take care about the selection of the participants. They are going to prepare them as well for
the trip and the program according to the agreements what we have.

A very good chance to get inspired and inspire others!
How:
The program of the youth exchanges contains several different elements – which provides the variety
during the 10 days.
As it was mentioned above the program uses the method of „learning by experience”, which is a non-
formal learning method. The focus is on getting new experiences first and reflecting on it after all. In
the beginning of the program there will be team building activities as participants are going to work
together for 10 days.
Furthermore there will be some lectures on design theory in order participants can have a clear picture
and fresh knowledge on actual design concepts. Moreover there will be practical & techinal input from
the team and the organisers as well. (Like how to use the sewing machine, how to work with special
tools, etc). There will be input from outside – by invited guests – who are going to organise workshops
and giving presentation for inspiration.
The other important element of the program is the connection with the locals. We are going to use
workshop as a tool to make connections between the inernational group and the locals.
There was another similar project last year called RE:Creativity. Based on the results of that we
developed the program.
Check out the video of last year here:
