Present simple tense

Affirmative: S + V.1 (s)- She likes spring.-We do have different seasons.

Present simple tense

Negative: S + do/does not + V.1- She does not like spring.- We do not have different seasons.

Question: Do/Does + Subject + V.1- Does she like spring?- Do we have different seasons?

We use the present simple tense when: 1. the action is general

Ex. It is cold in winter. 2. the action happens all the time, or habitually, in the past, present and future

Ex. He gets up every day. 3. the action is not only happening now

Ex. He sets sail tomorrow and comes back next week. 4. the statement is always true.
