Carolyn started iFlourish to make a difference in South Africa by having an impact in supporting and growing talent, so that they can be at their best and can flourish.
The approach of iFlourish is to identify where value and support can be provided to an organisation to grow their talent, so it’s customised to meet your need.
iFlourish has a key differentiator to other training or coaching companies as it utilizes a Thinking style assessment tool called the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI). The assessment findings are incorporated into coaching sessions, which are provided to ensure personal reflection and growth.
iFlourish has a mixture of clients i.e. One client is in the FMCG industry and the focus is on supporting their graduates with adapting to the corporate working environment, in addition the Line managers are provided coaching to develop themselves personally and assist them with coaching their graduates. Another client is a Trading Business that wants to take their organisation to the next level using HBDI. This has been done through designing and facilitating team sessions and one-on-one coaching sessions with employee’s.

Carolyn is an associate for a small consulting company called 2Connect. She works on adhoc projects with them, key deliverables have been:
• Employee Value Proposition Project for a Global Financial company. Identifying what the companies EVP is and proposing a journey plan on how to grow the companies desired EVP.
• Talent Management Project for a Global Financial company. Reviewed their current practices and processes and created a framework for them to implement going forward. Coached the Human resource teams to drive Talent sessions.
• Facilitated a Team Strategy session for an Insurance company. Facilitated a virtual team coming together for the first time to build relationships and create ways of working elements.
• Designed and facilitated a Team session for a Human Resources Department at a FMCG company to improve their ways of working.

Change, Culture and Transformation HR Manager for EEMEA
Was in a regional role for EEMEA (Eastern Europe and Middle East and Africa). Responsibilities lay across the following countries - Russia, Turkey, UAE and Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Nigeria and Ghana, Southern Africa and Central East Africa, Ukraine and Eastern New markets, Egypt, Lebanon and Algeria.
Carolyn facilitated the change and transformation elements within the Global Mondelēz International Transformation project for EEMEA region specifically. She designed and implemented a change plan to ensure the successful implementation of a new Organisational Model. This involved her working closely with Leaders from across the region, and set up networks to keep close to the business.
Due to the Mondelēz Transformation which began half way through 2014, Carolyn focused on specific change interventions to support the implementation, and developed and embedded the Mondelēz Culture across the region.
Talent and Organisational Effectiveness Manager for EEMEA
Carolyn was in a Regional Talent and Organisational Effectiveness role for EEMEA (Eastern Europe and Middle East and Africa). Responsibilities lay across the following countries - Russia, Turkey, UAE and Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Nigeria and Ghana, Southern Africa and Central East Africa, Ukraine and Eastern New markets, Egypt, Lebanon and Algeria.
Carolyn worked closely with the Global Mondelēz International Directors for T&OE to develop initiatives and deliver the Global T&OE strategy across the EEMEA region.
Drove the Performance Management system, process and philosophy within the region. Ensuring the yearly cycle of performance management was followed and all managers and colleagues were skilled in the process and conversations. This involved driving communication and designing and rolling out refresher training when required.
Identified and delivered Learning and Development initiatives and programmes across the region. Included in this was arranging Leadership programmes for the talent population across the region. An example of this was rolling out one of the Global Mondelēz Leadership core programmes called Leadership for Performance – where 18 colleagues from across the EEMEA region were selected and invited to participate in a 9-month programme. Carolyn was key in arranging the programme from start to finish.
Rolled out global cultural and change management initiatives to drive engagement across the region. Such as engagement surveys and developed Change management skills in the region. Half way through 2014 a huge Mondelēz International Transformation project kicked off due to the Operating Model changing for the business,
The role required Carolyn to travel into the Markets, and she used various technologies to engage with colleagues across the region from her location in Johannesburg.

Carolyn established key networks within the region to roll out initiatives in the multiple countries. Stakeholder relationships were key to the success of this model as the geographic spread is very large.
Change Management Lead Catalyst programme
Carolyn moved out of the Southern Africa business into a Regional programme role – Change Management lead for a programme called Catalyst. Catalyst’s objective was to implementing SAP across the Kraft Food businesses in 13 countries, which all went successfully live simultaneously in April 2013.
Vast experience working with senior management, Carolyn worked closely with Senior leaders across 13 countries when rolling out SAP.
Built a network of change agents across the 13 countries to deliver change management activities through the implementation.
Head of Talent and Organisational Effectiveness Southern Africa
Head of Organisational Effectiveness Southern Africa
Carolyn led a highly respected Talent and Organisational Effectiveness team which received focus at a Board level. Carolyn ran 1-on-1 and team sessions at the Board level, and one level below with the senior management to focus on the needs at that time. She arranged a quarterly forum where approximately 60 of the senior management got together to discuss Business Performance and key T&OE topics.
Carolyn provided change management support to key initiatives and projects that had an impact on the organisation and the way we work together.
Assessed change readiness and change integration needs and designed appropriate interventions to ensure the organisation was mobilised around the change and that the required results were achieved in line with our business objectives and Leadership Imperatives. This involved doing surveys within teams to identify the problem areas and then feeding this back to the teams and working closely with them to action plan their way forward. Partnered with the Line Managers, HR Business Partners and T&OE colleagues, providing them with change expertise and practical support (i.e. Recruitment assistance, Performance Management training, support for colleagues using HR systems). Built strong relationships through these partnerships with key stakeholders. Assisted with the design and delivery of Organisational development initiatives, including training / facilitation of various development programmes and the facilitation of workshops, such as our Managing for Impact internal manager programme, which incorporates the HBDI assessment. Responsible for planning the capability schedule for training programmes and coordinating the delegates and logistics for the programmes. Liaised and managed internal and external training providers.
