Fire chief Dennis measures water in gallons

to fill the tanker truck They need to tell

time to get out of the fire in time. The only

have 30 minutes of air in an air tank. They

need to get the person that is hurt to the

hospital in the golden hour. They look at

numbers when they take blood pressure.

They need to read numbers to find the

Firefighter read books to learn how to

fight fires. They read to learn how to

save lives. They have to go through 80

hours of training. They have to write

reports.

10

What If You Worked Here?

It would be fun because you get to save

people. It would be hard to fight the fire.

It would be scary to go into the fires. You

need to wear all the special equipment to

stay safe.
