HormonesU 1000 Cytochrome P450/NADPH-Dependent Formation of trans Epoxides from
trans-Arachidonic Acids. — Hepatic microsomes oxidize trans-arachidonic acids, products of cis-trans isomerization of arachidonic acid by nitrogen dioxide radical, via cytochrome P-450/NADPH system to epoxides, which are hydrolyzed by epoxide hy-drolase to diols.
