Energize Connecticut

• Helping consumers save money and use clean, affordable energy

• A partnership of the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund, the Connecticut Green Bank, the State and local electric and gas utilities

2

Why energy efficiency?

• Reduces air pollutants and greenhouse gases• Saves customers money• Reduces need for more energy generation• Creates jobs• Program funding comes from you, the customer

– Electric customers pay 3 mills per kilowatt-hour– Natural gas programs are funded through gas utility bills and

approved by the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority

3

Small Business Energy Advantage (SBEA)

• Turnkey energy-saving services– Financial resources– In-house expertise

• Cost-effective energy savings– No out of pocket

investment– Quick payback

• Do more and save more– Bundling for higher

incentives– Start saving faster!

4

How the program works

1. An authorized SBEA contractor conducts a FREE, no obligation assessment

2. Contractor submits a proposal with: Recommendations, costs, energy savings, incentives and financing options

3. That same contractor schedules all of the upgrades and paperwork
