Physical Destruction

Where to start? In the early hours, thousands fled the city. Then they came back- to rescue the injured, collect corpses, and restore city functions

All were exposed to residual radiation.

But, how do you identify the age or gender of a hairless, swollen, and discolored corpse?

Or worse, the imprints of human

beings vaporized by the heat of

the blast.

Radiation Effects

What do you do with the survivors?

What about the lasting effects?

J. Robert Oppenheimer

The lead scientist of the Manhattan Project upon seeing the fireball after successfully

testing the first atomic bomb:

“I am become death,

the destroyer of worlds.”- Bhagavad Gita
