This course provides an introduction and overview of the Learning Services Lab Portal (LSLP). You will learn how to access the LSLP, schedule labs and manage student rosters for lab access.

Learning Services Lab Portal Overview

Recording Note for those who are not Direct-Delivery Learning Partner instructors:

You will not receive a Lab Credential email for students' credentials; each student will receive a Welcome Email for class, similar to your own, and can create their credentials and sign-in with the link in that email.

Automatically sent to enrolled students and instructor 48 hours before start of class.

Sent to students email address used to register for course.

Click on link in welcome email to create password to access Learning Services Lab Portal.

1. Enter desired password

2. Click button to create password.

officially starts. Accessible by students and instructors.

Click on “Reserve a Lab” to reserve and schedule the lab.

Overview tab provides the following:

The Scheduler allows you to start a lab as soon as possible or schedule to take the lab at a later time.

To schedule the lab for as soon as possible, click on the option to do so and click “Spin Up this Lab!”

Scheduler Confirmation message indicates when lab will be available. Email will be sent to user when lab is available.

To schedule the lab for a future date and time, click on the option to do so.

1. Select date and time. Note: Lab cannot be scheduled outside course start and end time.

2. Click Reserve

1. Click “End Session”

2. Some labs have multiple options for ending the lab. Choose the appropriate one to end the lab.

NOTE: You must end the lab session in order to properly terminate it and save your configurations for later use. Closing the browser does not end the lab session.

1. Select lab from Labs List

2. Click “Reserve a Lab”

3. Scheduler detects saved lab environment. Select option to use saved lab or start new lab.

1. Record Instance ID

2. Click “Create Student Lab Account”

3. Complete student information including Instance ID.

4. Click “Create Student Account”. Student will appear in roster list once page refreshes.

5. Click on ‘Resend Welcome Email’ button for user, to send email to setup credentials to access the portal .

Student names cannot be modified or changed. Only email addresses can be modified or changed. Changes only affect lab portal login information.

1. Select Student and click “Edit” next to email address.

2. Change/Update email address

3. Click “Resend Welcome Email”. Welcome email will be sent to updated email address so student can setup username and password.

Lab Reservations

Confirmation provided when “Spin-Up Labs” is clicked.

Confirmation provided for each lab started for students; notification provided if a lab could not be scheduled for a student.

Lab access email sent to students when the lab is ready.

Allotted lab time starts at beginning of reservation time.
