Once upon a time…..The Group's foray into the retail sector began in December 2006 when it acquired Trinethra, the chain of stores based in south India.

May 2007 saw Aditya Birla Retail Limited (ABRL) launch their own brand of stores called 'More.‘

…. 8 years laterABRL grew its chain of supermarket stores to 487 and hypermarket stores to 19 stores across India.

Buying Moving Selling

Sourcing :Buying of products;

responsible for margin

Supply chain management and logistics: Warehouse management & ensuring products are available at store

Merchandise and category management: Plano-gram, range & space planning, decision on right products at the right time, pricing & assortment

Store management and operations: Customer service, Store operating Procedure adherence & selling

Business Development: Locating a right place to open stores and setting up of stores

Core Functional Training is the primary focus of the program to develop a sound conceptual foundation for the trainees.

On- Job Training exposes the RLP trainees to real life business situations along with actual responsibilities and authority to handle them.

Review and Feedback are a major highlight of the program to evaluate the conceptual knowledge and performance of the trainees during the program.

Mentors have vital role in the RLP. They are the source of input for the trainees and shall mentor them in their year long journey through the on-job training experience.

Year 2 – Performance Appraisal* Rs. 50,000
