Explanatory Paragraph
A stem-and-leaf plot analysis was conducted using group status, attachment, situational involvement,
enduring involvement, identity salience, satisfaction, and attendance. The stem-and-leaf plot for identity
salience, satisfaction, and attendance were consistent with a normal distribution. In contrast, the stem-and-leaf
plot for attachment, situational involvement, and enduring involvement were positively skewed.

Explanatory Paragraph # 1
Ŷ= -18944.1 +2901.211 Education – 11506.7 Female + 387.055 Age
A regression analysis was conducted using Wages as the dependent variable and Education, South,
Female, Married, Union, and Age as the independent variables. The Omnibus F- Test for South, Married, and
Union were not statistically significant. Overall, the regression model was statistically significant ( F = 9.726, p
= .001). With respect to the predictors, Education, South, Married, and Age were positively related to Wages.
However, Female and Union were negatively related to Situation Involvement. The coefficient of determination
(R2 ) was .386, and the coefficient of correlation (r), was .621. The adjusted (R
2) was .346, which indicated no
extraneous predictors were included in the model. Because the standard error of the estimate was 13,706.05, the
prediction equation was performing satisfactorily. The tolerance coefficient for Female and Union were below
the minimum threshold value; therefore multicolinarity was problematic in the regression model.
