President’s Message
From Mike Pontonio
Welcome to the 2019/2020 South Jersey High School Hockey League (SJHSHL) season. The
league is starting its 24th year. The upcoming season promises to be full of excitement.
2018/2019 ended with playoffs that were extremely competitive followed by a great showing of
SJHSHL teams in the Flyers Cup. We look forward to building on the league’s success this coming
year.
Over the past twelve months the league continues to investigate moving more teams toward purity.
The committee developed a strategy for all non-pure teams with estimates of when they may be able
to achieve purity. The path may be a lengthy one to purity but one that should be achievable by a
majority of the non-pure clubs.
I want to wish every club the best as we start this season. Good luck to everyone.
