Purpose Why we use it
One of the ways we address the technology vision of our school: “Systema9cally embed the use and study of technology into mul9ple, varied and authen9c curricular and extra-‐curricular func9ons, blurring the line between academic enterprises and those engaged in outside the schoolhouse… Technology, regardless of form, is perceived as a process, product, tool and subject of study inextricably intertwined with all others at the learner’s disposal.”

Not to Do To Do 1. Assume Tech-Saviness a. Proper and effective application of the iPad in an academic environment is not instinctive to teachers or “digital natives”
2. You Can Do It All! a. No, you can’t. Focus time and energy on “foundational” applications (e.g. Google Apps, iTunesU)
b. Purpose-driven apps Apps come and go… focus on student learning outcomes and select the tool(s) that will best accomplish those goals
