*In the puertorican culture the dish of rice and beans is concidered a diet.

*The vegetables more used in Puertorican’s kitchen are potatoes, yucca, “yautia”, ñame, “batata” and the most important is the plantain.

*The Tropical Fruits of our island are: papaya, mango, guava and pineapple.

*The people in Puerto Rico eat a variety of meats like: beef, chicken and pork.

*In the seafood they eat: oysters, shrimps and clams

*In Puerto Rico “frituras” are very famous some of them are: “alcapurrias” and “bacalaitos”.
